Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, better known as Portable, has sparked outrage online after launching a scathing attack on actress Iyabo Ojo over her public support for single mothers.

In a video that has since gone viral, the outspoken street-pop star did not hold back as he questioned Iyabo Ojo’s stance, arguing that she is not qualified to advise younger women on marriage or family life.
Portable appeared visibly upset as he criticised what he described as the glorification of single motherhood, claiming it sends the wrong message to the next generation.
According to him, such narratives could encourage irresponsible relationships rather than stable family structures.
The singer went further to make a sweeping and controversial claim about single mothers, suggesting that they are prone to promiscuity and having children with multiple partners.
In his words, he said:
“Which advice do you even want to give to the younger ones getting married? That they should be giving birth for different men? One child for one man, three children for three different men?”
His remarks have since triggered intense reactions across social media, with many Nigerians condemning his comments as disrespectful and insensitive, while others argued that he was expressing a harsh personal opinion on societal values.
As expected with Portable’s frequent outbursts, the video has reignited debates around marriage, single parenthood, and who gets to speak on such issues in the public space.
