Portable finally issues a public apology to Headies and fellow nominees for the death threat.
Nigerian street sensation, Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has finally addressed a public apology letter to the Headies Awards organizers.
The singer who had threatened murder on the nominees of award show, who were nominated in the Best Street Hiphop Artiste category alongside him, released a statement on Monday, June 20, to apologise for his unguarded statement.

Portable apologized to the organization and stated that he had no intention of causing anyone harm, and he subsequently deleted the ‘violence inciting’ video.

In other news, The Ogun state police have asked Portable, to report himself to the nearest police station.
The singer is wanted by the Nigerian police for being involved in a case of gangsterism.
The command issued the order after a video centred on street gangsterism and notoriety that is currently circulating on the internet caught their attention.
In the said video, the “Zazoo Zeh” crooner was seen ordering some youth to beat up a particular DJ who he had personal issues with.
According to a statement released by the spokesman for the Ogun State Police Department, Abimbola Oyeyemi, on Monday, June 20th, 2022, the incident occurred two days ago somewhere in Ogun State, and the singer was ordered to report to a nearby station or face arrest.
