Portable Reportedly Escapes Attempted Knife Attack Near Father’s Home in Ogun State
Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, reportedly escaped an attempted knife attack near his father’s residence in Ogun State.
According to circulating reports and viral videos on social media, the incident unfolded when an unidentified man, dressed in military camouflage trousers and a Special Forces shirt, approached the singer’s vehicle while allegedly wielding a sharp dagger. Portable and his associates acted swiftly, apprehending the suspect before any harm could occur.
Recovered from the man were a blade and a charm tied around his waist, adding to the alarming nature of the situation. During interrogation, which was captured on video, the suspect claimed he was a member of a task force and denied any intention to harm the singer.
The footage shows the man seated on the ground, surrounded by Portable and concerned locals as he was questioned about his motives. The event, which happened within the singer’s local community, has since raised fresh concerns over his safety and the growing issue of security personnel impersonation in Nigeria.
