Portable grumbles as Burna Boy refuses to reply him after gifting him N20M
Portable is back in the headlines, and this time he’s got Burna Boy in his sights — despite just receiving a ₦20 million gift from the Afrobeats superstar.
In a video making rounds online, the controversial street-hop singer expressed frustration and confusion over Burna Boy’s silence after the generous gesture. Portable revealed that although Burna Boy sent him the cash after his knockout victory over Speed Darlington, they’ve never had a real conversation.
“Person wey give me 20 million never reply me for Instagram before… I Dey call am, he no pick, e no follow me, I no get him number and yet he gave me money. Why he dey stingy with his replies?” Portable lamented.
While he remained grateful for the financial support, Portable emphasized that a music feature from Burna Boy would mean more to him than money, saying a collaboration would elevate his music career and give him industry validation on a whole new level.
This isn’t the first time Portable has openly sought major collaborations — and his approach often comes with raw emotion and public pressure. Whether Burna Boy will respond or keep things strictly philanthropic remains to be seen.
