Portable claims ‘Bust Down’ by Zlatan and Asake is his song
Controversial Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, professionally known as Portable, has made a bold assertion following the release of the song “Bust Down” by Asake and Zlatan.
Portable shared a video on social media where he sang a revised snippet from the song and claimed that his signee, Frizzle, was the one who sang the verse initially attributed to Zlatan in “Bust Down.”
Expressing his stance in Yoruba, Portable urged artists to refrain from appropriating lyrics from emerging talents and instead encouraged collaboration, suggesting that upcoming artists should be featured on songs. This claim adds an interesting layer to the dynamics of credit and collaboration in the music industry.
