Portable breaks silence on viral controversy, sets the record straight

Popular Nigerian street-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, known as Portable, has dismissed allegations linking him to internet fraud, insisting that his words were taken out of context.
The controversy erupted following an interview with well-known content creator Kuye Adegoke, popularly called Egungun. During the session, Portable reportedly stated that the Instagram name “Elizabeth Joyce” was associated with a Facebook account he used in the past while engaging in “Yahoo Yahoo,” a local term for online fraud. The statement quickly gained traction, drawing mixed reactions from the public.
In a new video, the Zeh Nation boss has refuted the claims, stating unequivocally that he has never been involved in fraud. According to Portable, his remarks were misinterpreted, and he clarified that the “working account” he mentioned was simply a legitimate means of survival.
“I don’t steal, I am not a thief, and I’ve never done Yahoo. When I said ‘working account,’ I meant an account I used to find money to feed myself legitimately,” the singer explained. He also alleged that Egungun deliberately misrepresented his statements to create controversy.
Portable further stressed that his rise to fame was a product of hard work and dedication, not illegal dealings. The singer, known for his outspoken nature, reaffirmed his commitment to focusing on his music and financial success rather than engaging in unnecessary drama.
