Street-pop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has voiced his frustration following a troubling incident that occurred after his performance at a hotel launch in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The controversial Zazoo Zeh hitmaker took to Instagram to share details of the ordeal, revealing that his car was attacked shortly after he wrapped up his set at the event.

According to the singer, an individual from the crowd forcefully smashed the rear side window of his vehicle with a hand and damaged the backlight, leaving him visibly upset.

“This is what I face when I go out to perform,” Portable lamented in the video, expressing dismay over the damage done to his car during what was meant to be a celebratory occasion.

Despite the incident, Portable expressed gratitude that no occupants in the vehicle were harmed during the attack. He also commended law enforcement officers at the scene for their prompt response, noting that the suspect was apprehended on the spot.

He further urged the authorities to pursue justice and ensure the culprit is held accountable.

Although the exact motive for the act of vandalism remains unclear, the incident has sparked fresh concerns about the safety of artists at public gatherings in Nigeria. Fans and observers online have called for tighter security measures and better crowd control at entertainment events across the country.

The Abeokuta incident adds to Portable’s growing list of public confrontations and dramatic moments, further fueling conversations around artist-fan interactions and the need for improved event planning.
