Ogun Police Declare Portable Wanted Over Assault Allegations

Street-pop sensation Portable has been declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command over allegations of assaulting state officials.
In an official statement, the command’s spokesperson, SP Omolola Odutola, confirmed that a magistrate court in Ogun State had issued an arrest warrant for the singer, citing charges such as attempted murder, conspiracy, serious assault, illegal possession of weapons, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
The police report alleges that on February 5, 2025, Portable and his associates attacked officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during an enforcement operation at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu-Ota. The victims—TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi—were reportedly assaulted while carrying out their duties.
According to the statement, the confrontation began when the officials visited Odogwu Bar, where they met Portable’s father and requested an approved building plan. When they discovered that the singer was absent, Portable and nine others allegedly launched a violent attack, wielding firearms and other dangerous weapons. The officials sustained injuries but managed to escape and reported the incident to the Ota Area Command.
This latest development follows the arrest and prosecution of some of Portable’s aides for similar offenses.
The singer had previously sought forgiveness from Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun after his men were taken into custody.
With intensified efforts underway to apprehend him, Portable is now officially wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.
