Popular Nigerian musician Portable is making headlines with a shocking claim of being duped in a business deal. In a recent outburst, Portable alleges that he was swindled out of a staggering ₦18 million (around $43,000 USD), attributing the scam to his perceived illiteracy. According to Portable, he only received ₦3.6 million (around $8,600 USD) but is now being held responsible for the entire ₦18 million.

Additionally, Portable claims to have faced repeated visa rejections, stating, “I was rejected at the embassy six times.” However, the specifics of the alleged fraudulent deal and the reasons for the visa rejections remain unclear. Portable has not provided further details or named any parties involved in the scam or the visa issues.

“I was rejected at the embassy 6 times & duped because I looked like an illiterate. I only collected 3.6millon & I’m told to pay 18million. I’m still in debt”

In other news, Portable is facing backlash from international fans after a video circulated on social media allegedly showing him asking a fan for money.

The unverified video shows Portable being accosted by some fans who were telling him to stop asking for money.

In the clip, Portable is seen walking alongside a group of people, with one fan saying, “Stop asking for money, bro.”

The video has sparked discussions online, with many fans expressing disappointment in Portable’s behavior. Some comments accuse the musician of exploiting his fans for personal gain, while others call his actions inappropriate.

This is not the first time Portable has been embroiled in controversy. The artist has a history of well-publicized outbursts and clashes with other celebrities. It remains to be seen how Portable will respond to the latest criticism.
