“You’re a Liar and a Thief” – Portable responds to VeryDarkMan’s allegations
Controversial street-hop sensation Habeeb Olalomi Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has fired back at social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), following fresh accusations leveled against him.
In a viral video recently posted online, VDM slammed Portable for allegedly being a hypocrite. He criticized the Zazoo Zeh crooner for heaping praises on a political leader he referred to as “his best president,” despite previously speaking out against politicians. The activist also accused the singer of stealing a mobile phone and a tricycle in the past.
Portable, not one to back down from a public spat, responded with a fiery video collage, launching a barrage of insults at VDM. In the video, the singer called the activist an “idiot,” “unfortunate fellow,” “liar,” and “thief,” while also placing curses on him.
He further accused VeryDarkMan of a pattern of clout-chasing, alleging that the activist targets celebrities online only to cozy up to them behind the scenes.
“You only chase clout to get our attention and later go to chill with those same people you drag,” Portable said, listing several public figures VDM had reportedly been seen associating with after publicly attacking them.
Addressing the theft allegations, Portable categorically denied stealing any phone or tricycle, stating that the items were given to him willingly by the people now accusing him.
“They gave me the phone and keke because they believed in me. Now they’re making noise because I didn’t do their bidding,” he said, adding that the matter had already been settled privately.
The singer also used the opportunity to boast about his influence in his local community, claiming that after he requested a road repair near his residence, the state governor personally saw to it that the road was fixed.
“When I talk, dem dey answer. I asked them to fix my street, and they did. That’s power,” he declared.
This latest altercation adds to the ongoing feud between Portable and VeryDarkMan, which dates back several months. The two have repeatedly clashed on social media, with VDM previously accusing Portable of assaulting a man during Felabration, a claim that the singer denied.
Their digital war shows no signs of cooling down, as both remain among the most polarizing and outspoken figures on Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
