Portable celebrates increase in social media views amid recent troubles
Controversial street-pop singer Portable has taken to social media to celebrate his rising popularity just days after being released on bail for assaulting government officials.
In a post shared on Instagram on February 25, 2025, the self-styled ‘Zeh Nation‘ boss expressed excitement over his growing social media traction while announcing his availability for business.

“Akoi 50 million Views. Them no dey celebrate failure. ZEHNATION! DM for show bookings and ambassadorship ☎️,” he wrote.
This comes shortly after the singer vowed to stay out of trouble and focus on his career. On February 21, 2025, he had publicly declared a shift in priorities, stating, “Alhamdulilahi for everything 🙏 ZAzuu. No more wahala. Na money I dey look for. If you no get money, Call God.”
Portable’s legal troubles began on February 18, 2025, when the Ogun State Police declared him wanted following an altercation with officials of the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
He and nine of his associates were accused of obstructing and assaulting government workers, leading to a police manhunt.
While his associates were quickly arrested, arraigned, and granted bail set at ₦5 million each, Portable initially evaded arrest, going into hiding for a week.
During that period, he continued posting on social media, soliciting support from fans and industry colleagues. However, as public pressure mounted, many urged him to surrender to the authorities.
The singer finally turned himself in on February 19, 2025, and was arraigned at the Isabo Magistrate Court in Abeokuta the following day. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail, reportedly paying ₦2 million for his release.
Now back in the spotlight, Portable seems eager to put the controversy behind him and focus on his music and business engagements. Whether he will truly stay out of trouble remains to be seen.
