Nigerian street-hop singer Portable has sparked a fresh round of controversy after calling out rap icon Olamide, accusing the YBNL boss of snubbing him and refusing to involve him in his recently held UK show.

In a video making the rounds on social media, Portable voiced his disappointment, claiming Olamide has shown him “hatred” despite contributing to his rise.
According to Portable, the fallout began when Olamide opted to send in a pre-recorded clip for their breakout hit “Zazuu Zeh” instead of appearing physically in the video.
The Zazzo crooner insisted that a live appearance from Olamide would have boosted the project even more.
He said:
“Olamide didn’t shoot Zazzo video with me, he didn’t stand alongside me in the video. I was the one that gave Olamide international recognition. Zazzo made Olamide. Why didn’t Olamide call me for his show? I don’t know why Baddo hates me so much.”
Portable also questioned why he was not invited to perform at Olamide’s UK concert, insisting that their 2021 collaboration played a major part in elevating the rapper’s global presence.
The singer alleged that Olamide stopped responding to his messages shortly after the release of Zazuu Zeh, the song that catapulted Portable into mainstream fame late in 2021.

Reactions to Portable’s outburst have been split.
While some fans faulted him for being ungrateful and disrespectful—pointing out that Olamide helped put him on the map others argued that big artists should maintain stronger relationships with rising stars who benefit from their platforms.
Industry analysts have also weighed in, noting that prerecorded cameos are common in the music business and do not necessarily indicate a strained relationship.
Despite the controversy, observers say the incident once again highlights Portable’s history of publicly calling out colleagues whenever he feels slighted, an approach that continues to fuel debates about his temperament, gratitude, and industry expectations.
