Portable takes shots at Vector after mistaking the rapper’s lyrics for a diss
Nigerian street hop sensation Portable, also known as Zazzu, recently called out rapper Vector over what he misinterpreted as a diss in Vector’s lyrics. On June 5, 2024, Portable took to Instagram Live to express his anger, claiming that Vector’s line “Lion King no be Zazu” was a jab aimed at him.
During the live session, Portable asserted that he was a bigger star than Vector and suggested that the rapper needed a chorus from him to score a hit song. However, Portable’s anger was misplaced, as the “Zazu” in Vector’s lyrics referred to Zazu, the bird character in Disney’s 1994 animated movie “The Lion King,” rather than Portable himself.

Portable’s reaction is not entirely surprising to those familiar with his reputation for generating news with his antics. Earlier in the year, Portable was involved in a public spat with Nigerian socialite and cross-dresser Bobrisky, whom he criticized for winning Best Dress Woman at a movie premiere. Additionally, Portable made headlines after being captured jumping a fence to evade arrest by the Nigerian Police over the unpaid balance of his G Wagon Brabus.
Despite his numerous controversies, Portable continues to achieve success in his music career. His recent hit collaboration “Tony Montana” with Skepta is a testament to his enduring popularity as an artist.
