Jamaican star, Andre Hugh Sutherland, better known by his stage name Popcaan, has announced that his next album would be released in Ghana.
On August 12th 2021, the multi-award-winning Reggae-Dancehall artist announced this on his social media channel. He wrote in a tweet welcoming everyone to the launch:
“I’m doing my next album launch in Ghana and everyone’s AKWABA
Recently, Popcaan indicated that he is now working on his fifth studio album.
Furthermore, he posted several photos, among them one of himself getting his hair braided, his eyes shut, and a spliff in one of his hands on Instagram. His caption was simple: “ALBUM BREWING”

Should the dancehall star puts out his album this year, it will be his third in two years.
The St. Thomas native first released his debut album, “Where We Come from” in 2014 and his sophomore album, “Forever” in 2018
After he signed to Drake’s Ovo SOund in 2018, he released his third album, “Vanquish” a year later, then his fourth album, “Fixtape” was released in 2020.
