Polo G seen in HANDCUFFS as police officers swarm his Los Angeles mansion.
Rapper Polo G was handcuffed and dragged from his home on Wednesday morning as part of a police inquiry. The 24-year-old musician was seen holding up his hands as he left his Los Angeles-area residence before a police officer detained him next to a police cruiser.
A spokeswoman for Polo G said that he was not the subject of the investigation, despite reports that the police were looking into the house as part of a robbery probe. Bradford Cohen, the rapper’s attorney, claimed that Polo G was being detained by police so they could determine whether he had ever been convicted of a crime after a gun was allegedly discovered in the house. Polo G was not a convicted felon, according to Cohen, and earlier allegations against him were dropped.
Later, it was revealed by a law enforcement source that Polo G was being detained by police as they looked into whether he had been hiding a wanted person. Polo G’s brother Taurean, also known as Trench Baby, was the subject of the warrant. Uncertainty exists as to whether Polo G and the other three individuals who were seen in handcuffs during the initial police response were among the four defendants supposedly taken into custody during the raid.
Polo G has a history of breaking the law, including an arrest in 2021 for allegedly assaulting a police officer, which according to his mother was the consequence of racial stereotyping. Polo G got into a physical altercation with a policeman who had stopped him after an album release party. Polo G was taken into arrest after that.
