Pictures of Portable in court surfaces on the Internet.
Nigerian singer, Portable has finally been arraigned to court by the Police after being arrested on Friday.
This happened following an incident in which the artist was shown in a viral video defending himself against police officials who had arrived at his restaurant in Ogun State to arrest him.
On the video, he yelled at the police, saying it was inappropriate for them to break into his business centre without permission and that they had no justification.
The police authorities reacted to the development by calling the singer’s behaviour as irrational and accusing him of disrespecting police officers who were carrying out their legal duties through the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi.
He was given a deadline of 72 hours to turn himself in or face arrest.
On the evening of Friday, March 30, 2023, Portable was brought into custody after the 72 hour ultimatum passed without him responding to the police invitation.
On Monday morning, the “Zazu Zeh” singer appeared in court at the Ifo High Court in Ogun State.
“He is in court. There’s nothing to elaborate on. He is in court presently. He has been arraigned,” Abimbola Oyeyemi, Ogun state police spokesperson, told TheCable Lifestyle on Monday morning.

The NPF’s public relations officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, stated that in addition to “resisting arrest and injuring a police officer,” Portable will also be charged with “assault”.
“He will be charged to court for beating up a guy in Ota, who filed a petition to CP Ogun,” Adejobi wrote on Twitter.
“There are many pending cases of assaults on people and attacks, and he will be investigated because people have complained against him.
“So, there is no sentiment in law, let him appear in court, and allow the judge to listen to the charges against him. He has no constitutional immunity anyway.”
