Aston Villa’s Matty Cash was instrumental in his team’s October revival, producing match-winning moments at both ends of the pitch. His second goal of the season came in a statement win over Manchester City, following a decisive assist in the victory against Tottenham.
At Newcastle, Bruno Guimarães once again showed why he’s the heartbeat of Eddie Howe’s midfield. His long-range stunner against Nottingham Forest and a last-gasp winner versus Fulham ensured the Magpies’ steady climb up the table.
Erling Haaland, last month’s Player of the Month, continues to be a force of nature. Three goals in three games brought his total to 11 for the campaign — a figure that dwarfs his teammates’ combined tally. Few would bet against him doubling up on the award.
Over at Bournemouth, 19-year-old Junior Kroupi enjoyed a breakout month. The summer signing announced himself with a brace on his first Premier League start against Crystal Palace, then added another goal against Nottingham Forest to push the Cherries up to second place.
Manchester United’s Bryan Mbeumo has been a revelation under Ruben Amorim. With three goals and an assist, he led the Red Devils to a flawless October — their best run in months — and reignited belief among fans at Old Trafford.
For Nordi Mukiele, Sunderland’s surprise summer signing, October was about dominance and discipline. His defensive prowess was key to the Black Cats’ resilience, while his long throws caused chaos in opposing boxes — not to mention his crucial goal against Wolves.
Igor Thiago continued his hot streak for Brentford, adding two more goals to his tally and climbing to second in the Golden Boot race. His powerful display against West Ham and clinical penalty against Liverpool kept the Bees buzzing.
Finally, Jurriën Timber’s influence at Arsenal cannot be overstated. The Dutchman has reinvented himself as one of the league’s most consistent full-backs, anchoring a Gunners defence that didn’t concede a single goal all month — a record-breaking feat.

October 2025 Premier League Manager of the Month Nominees
- Ruben Amorim (Manchester United)
- Mikel Arteta (Arsenal)
- Unai Emery (Aston Villa)
- Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth)
Manchester United’s new boss, Ruben Amorim, makes his first appearance on the shortlist after guiding his side to three straight wins over Sunderland, Liverpool, and Brighton. The Portuguese tactician seems to be settling in fast, blending energy, structure, and attacking flair.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta continues to mastermind Arsenal’s push for the title. The Gunners finished October unbeaten, boasting the tightest defence in the league and holding a four-point lead at the top of the table.
For Unai Emery, the turnaround at Aston Villa has been remarkable. After a shaky start to the season, his side produced a perfect month — taking down Burnley, Tottenham, and even champions Manchester City — to surge back into form.
And then there’s Andoni Iraola, the architect of Bournemouth’s fairytale rise. The Cherries ended October sitting second in the Premier League, with wins over Fulham and Forest, plus a gutsy draw against Crystal Palace.
