Why I Removed Omah Lay’s Verse From ‘Finesse’ – Pheelz.
Nigerian record producer, singer and songwriter Phillip Kayode Moses, better known as Pheelz, has disclosed why he removed Omah Lay’s verse from his hit song ‘Finesse’.
In a recent podcast interview, Pheelz discussed the reasons for the removal of Omah Lay from “Finesse,” his big hit song from 2022 that also features BNXN (a.k.a. Buju).
It appears that the song was originally meant for Pheelz, BNXN, and Omah Lay to sing another verse. However, Omah Lay’s verse was removed from the song.
Regarding the removal of the verse, Pheelz explained that Omah Lay’s collaboration with Justin Bieber, “Attention,” was dropping on the same day the song was intended to be released.
In order to release the song with only himself and BNXN’s verses, he said that he had to cut out Omah Lay from it.
He said, ‘The original “Finesse” was Pheelz, Buju (BNXN) and Omah Lay. That was the final track.
It now happened that the day we’re going to release it was the same day Omah was dropping his track (Attention) with Justin’.
He also said that there is a Reekado Banks verse and that he may release another version of “Finesse” with the verse.
