Nigerian record producer, singer and songwriter Phillip Kayode Moses, better known as Pheelz, has revealed that Nigerian artists are still making evergreen music.
According to the music producer, Contrary to popular belief, Nigerian musicians continue to create timeless music, according to the music producer.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, he said,
“I don’t think the days of evergreen music (in Nigeria) are gone. Music will continue to evolve and we (human beings) will continue to evolve. The attention span of people is another question entirely because we are living in very ‘fast’ times. Despite that, I believe we still make evergreen music in Nigeria, and we will continue to do that.”

Pheelz also confessed that he was shocked by the widespread popularity of his song Finesse, on which he collaborated with BNXN.
He said: “The song was inspired by a fun lifestyle and the vibe I was feeling in the studio while making the song. I am both shocked and not shocked because I knew the song was a ‘monster’ and that many people were going to love it based on how I felt about the song. That is because I always go with my gut feeling when it comes to making music.”
Pheelz stated that though he is better known as a producer, he has been singing for a while. He said,
“I did not just try my hands on singing. I have been singing for a long time. On the beats I produce, I deliver back-up vocals and co-write most of the songs, including the ones on which I am featured. I actually released an Extended Play album last year titled, Hear Me Out. But, Finesse, is shinning more light on my talent as a singer.”
