In a recent interview with Moni Talks, Pheelz divulged his evolution from being under ID Cabasa’s guidance to establishing himself as a prominent Afrobeats hitmaker.
When questioned about the pivotal moment that propelled his career from producer to artist, Pheelz disclosed that it was during the COVID-19 pandemic that he decided to take the leap.
During this challenging period, Pheelz encountered a tweet from Rema that served as a catalyst for change. “Rema tweeted, ‘the world is on pause for you to catch up,’ and I felt that it resonated with me personally,” Pheelz shared, recounting the story for the first time.
The tweet sparked something within him, prompting Pheelz to realize that he couldn’t afford to squander his talent. “I kept telling myself I have to die empty,” he expressed passionately during the interview, highlighting his commitment to leaving a lasting impact with his artistry.
