On October 17, Peruzzi had taken to Twitter to state that there was drama on the 3rd mainland bridge due to the presence of armed robbers.

Barely minutes after his tweets were put up, many Nigerians flooded social media with news that the singer had chased the armed men from the popular bridge.
Many singers seized the opportunity to hail the singer who in the past had quite a controversial reputation on Twitter.
They tagged him as a hero who had done what the Nigeria Police Force could not do.
The singer was reportedly on his way to Felabration 2020 when the incident took place.

Peruzzi chasing armed robbers off the bridge and performs a few minutes later like it's nothing. Our government would have set up a committee to decide whether to chase criminals or not by then the criminals would have murdered a lot of people…#EndSARS
