Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ was announced the top song on the Afrobeats UK chart and by extension, has now broken the record for Nigerian solo songs atop the chart.
Recall, Mp3bullet.ng reported that he released “Peru” some months ago, and the song became an instant hit upon its release.
He said in an interview with British-Congolese comedian and show presenter Eddie Kadi that the song, Peru, was not planned, but rather a freestyle he composed in the studio after traveling there to welcome Shizzi.
