Peter put Jude in jail and I’m here to bring him out – Paul Okoye

The long-standing rift between Paul and Peter Okoye of the defunct P-Square duo has taken a deeper turn following the arrest of their older brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.
After Jude’s bail hearing, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) directly blamed his twin brother Peter Okoye (Mr. P) for their brother’s legal predicament. Addressing the press, he stated:
“The truth is reports are making it look like Jude is a fraud, but let’s call a spade a spade. Peter is the one putting Jude through this. He is doing this and putting him in prison. I’m here to bring him out. If they say Jude is guilty of these crimes, then Peter is guilty and Paul is guilty.”
Jude Okoye is currently facing seven charges of laundering ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
During Friday’s bail hearing, the prosecution opposed bail, citing concerns that Jude posed a flight risk. However, his lawyer, Effiong, argued that Jude had been fully cooperative and that his younger brother Paul (Rudeboy) Okoye was willing to stand as a surety.
Justice Owoeye has directed Paul to submit his documents, with the bail ruling set for March 3, while the trial is scheduled for April 14. Until then, Jude Okoye remains in police custody.
The ongoing legal battle has only added fuel to the already strained relationship between the Okoye brothers, further deepening the division within the once-unbreakable music family.
