“I wrote & sang it” – Paul Okoye accuses his brother Peter Okoye of music theft following the release of the song “Winning” today
The ongoing feud between Nigerian music duo P-Square continues to escalate, with Rudeboy (Paul Okoye) making serious accusations against his twin brother Mr. P (Peter Okoye) and their record label’s music producer.
In a shocking social media post this morning, Rudeboy has claimed ownership of Mr. P’s newly released single “Winning,” which was dropped as part of a 2-pack EP on November 8, 2024.
Rudeboy’s accusations center around the claim that he wrote and recorded “Winning” as part of a collection of songs intended for the now-cancelled P-Square reunion album.
To back his claim, he uploaded the demo version of the song, further intensifying the drama. In his Instagram post, Rudeboy expressed frustration, stating that he had submitted six songs for the album but now feels his work has been taken and re-sung by Mr. P. His post read, “Song title : WINNING / Written and sang by RUDEBOY / Produced by same producer.”
Rudeboy’s outburst also included a warning directed at the producer, as he criticized what he described as manipulation in the industry. He further clarified that “Winning” was supposed to be part of his solo album, set to be released next year in June. The post, written in Pidgin English, emphasized the deep frustration he feels, calling out the actions of his brother and the producer.
He wrote: Just a simple thing : Bring 6 song let me bring 6 song … submitted my 6 songs to the so called management. why re-singing my own song word for word 🤷🏾♂️ Song that was sopos to be in my album next year June,” the caption reads in pidgin English.

This public dispute adds yet another layer to the already complicated relationship between the Okoye brothers, who have been at odds for nearly a decade. While Rudeboy continues to assert his rights over the song and has threatened to release more demos to expose similar incidents, Mr. P has yet to respond publicly.
This feud has also been marked by previous disagreements, including a high-profile EFCC case earlier this year, in which Peter Okoye accused his brothers of mismanaging funds. The ongoing tension within the Okoye family continues to play out publicly, with fans and stakeholders eagerly watching to see how this latest chapter unfolds.
