Oxlade blasts senior colleague Iyanya after dragging him for restricting late Mohbad’s account.
Talented Nigerian artist Oxlade has ignited a flurry of online reactions after he strongly criticized his senior colleague Iyanya in the wake of Mohbad’s passing.
Today, on September 22, 2023, the 26-year-old Oxlade did not mince words as he referred to Iyanya, who is 36 years old, as a “fool.” This came after Iyanya called out Oxlade for his actions in restricting the late Mohbad’s account.
A few days ago, Oxlade faced heavy backlash from internet users when his tribute message revealed that he had restricted Mohbad’s account. In a now-deleted viral post, Oxlade shared a chat with the late Mohbad, showing that he had restricted the late singer’s Instagram account back in 2018.
Iyanya responded by accusing Oxlade of insincerity and labelled it as “fake love.” He pointed out that when someone is being disingenuous, they resort to sharing screenshots of how they’ve blocked or restricted a good person on social media.
Addressing Oxlade directly, Iyanya reminded him that he had previously cautioned him about his lack of sincerity and predicted that one day, his true nature would be revealed.
Iyanya wrote; “When you are fake, you will post a screenshot of how you ‘Restricted’ a good guy on social media. I told you that one day the ‘fake’ in you would be televised.”

However, Oxlade did not take Iyanya’s criticism lightly and responded by taking a direct shot at him.
He referred to Iyanya as a “fool” and expressed that his silence on the matter was not sufficient. Oxlade also revealed his intention to address the issue further, stating that he would be going live at 8 p.m. to speak up about the situation.
Oxlade said; “When you are fake, you will post a screenshot of how you “Restricted” a good guy on sm. Told you one day the “fake” in you will be televised.”
