Oxlade discloses he wished some of Fireboy, Omah Lay’s songs belonged to him
Nigerian singer, Oxlade, opened up in a recent interview with Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, about his admiration for some songs by his fellow artists.
The ‘Ku Lo Sa’ crooner revealed that there are two particular songs he wishes he had sung – ‘You‘ by Omah Lay and ‘King‘ by Fireboy DML.
Oxlade even mentioned that Fireboy DML is his best friend, but he still can’t help but wish those songs were his own. He believes he would have added impressive vocals to Omah Lay’s ‘You’ if given the chance.
He said; “The song I wish I sang that I really wish I sang… They are two actually. There is ‘You’ by Omah Lay. I feel like I would murder that song with vocals.
“And then there is ‘King’ by Fireboy. That song… For the first time in my life, I really wanted to be the person that sang ‘King.’ Fireboy is my best friend. We are pretty close.”
