The Headies Awards organizers have confirmed a new date for the award ceremony, which will take place at the Cobb Galleria Center in Atlanta, US.
The event, which was scheduled for July 2nd, 2022, has been rescheduled for September 4th, 2022, at the same location in the United States.
This news follows the announcement of adding three new categories to the event to emphasize further inclusivity, which is always part of Afrobeats.
The organizers confirmed the new date in an official announcement posted on the award’s website.

Recall, The Academy announced the news on its official Instagram account that three new categories would be added to the Headies Awards in 2022.
The three new categories include International Artist Of The Year, Best Inspirational Single and Digital Artiste Of The Year.
The organizers of the Headies revealed that the reason these categories were included was to promote inclusivity.
