‘The babe is now dead’: Popular Yahoo boy Opa6ix breaks the internet as he reveals the cause of his fight with Davido (Watch)

Controversial Nigerian internet personality Opa6ix is currently trending on social media after revealing the real reason behind his fallout with Afrobeats megastar Davido.
Speaking during a recent Instagram Live session with influencers Tunde Perry and Salo Ibadan, Opa6ix, whose real name is yet to be publicly confirmed, disclosed that he and Davido were once best friends, and that their once-strong bond was destroyed because of a woman.
According to Opa6ix, he was very close to Davido before fame fully took hold, to the point that the singer would call him whenever he landed in South Africa, and he would personally go to pick him up.
“I knew Davido before Lati [DMW], before Asa Asika and the rest,” Opa6ix emphasized during the live session.
The controversial figure, who has claimed ties to Nigeria’s elite “Yahoo boy” culture and says he was once a church drummer before delving into internet fraud, shared that their rift was caused by a late Mozambican model and influencer, Alichia Adams.
He claimed that both he and Davido were romantically involved with Alichia, which led to tension and ultimately ended their friendship.
Alichia Adams tragically passed away in November 2020 following a high-speed car crash in Harare, Zimbabwe, along Borrowdale Road. The car, a luxury Rolls Royce owned by businessman Ginimbi, burst into flames, killing Alichia along with Ginimbi, Moana, and Limumba Karim Cazal.
Opa6ix’s revelation has reignited conversations online, especially among Gen Z social media users who may not be familiar with him.
He is often mentioned in the same breath as controversial figures like Hushpuppi and Investor BJ, though he claims to have “come before them” and be part of the generation of internet fraudsters that rose alongside Olu Maintain’s era.
As reactions continue to pour in, many users have taken to social media to express shock, skepticism, and curiosity about the history of friendships and rivalries in Nigeria’s entertainment and “big boy” culture.
