Ono Ndlovu, whose real name is Babalwa Makanda, is a talented singer and songwriter from Mount Frere, now living in East London, Eastern Cape. Her stage name combines her beloved nickname Onono, given to her by her late mother, with her clan name MaNdlovu, honoring her heritage. Although she discovered her passion for music early, Ono pursued her music career later in life. Her dynamic voice shines across various genres, including R&B, Afro Soul, Afro Pop, and Amapiano. Ono’s discography includes heartfelt singles like “Never Ready,” a tribute to her late mother, as well as “Udlalile Ngam” and “Sondela.”
