Omah Lay Brings His Only 2025 Lagos Show to Motherland Festival, His Only Lagos Show This December

Afro-fusion sensation Omah Lay is closing out his milestone year with a major homecoming moment: a headlining performance at the inaugural Motherland Festival on December 20, 2025.
For fans in Lagos, this isn’t just another concert; it’s his only show in the city this festive season.
The announcement arrives at a golden time in Omah Lay’s career. Still riding the wave of his first Grammy nomination for “With You,” his viral collaboration with Davido, the singer has also clinched the title of Nigeria’s most-streamed artist on Spotify this year. With that momentum, the Motherland Festival couldn’t have secured him at a better moment.
In a joint statement, the festival’s co-founders celebrated the big reveal with unmistakable pride:
“We’re excited that Omah Lay chose the Motherland stage as his only Lagos show this December. Fans from around the world will get their chance to celebrate the huge year he’s had in the centre of Afro-fusion and Afrobeats… Omah Lay will be giving our attendees a show they’ll never forget.”

And he won’t be standing alone. The three-day event running December 18–20 promises a vibrant lineup featuring Seyi Vibez, The Cavemen, Odumodublvck, Qing Madi, Mavo, DJ Obi, and more. Together, they’ll turn the Motherland Grounds beside the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, into a melting pot of music, culture, and community.
More than a festival, Motherland Festival is shaping up to be a cultural renaissance. Designed as a global gathering point, it aims to reconnect the diaspora with their Nigerian roots while showcasing Africa’s creativity, innovation, and influence on the world. Think heritage meets future with Lagos as the heartbeat.
