Afrobeats superstar Omah Lay has officially announced his first signing, welcoming rising talent Elmah to his “Boy Alone” creative collective.
Speaking to Nandoleaks, Omah Lay expressed his excitement about mentoring Elmah and bringing her into his artistic circle. “Elmah is insane. She’s crazy. I’ve been speaking with her for a while now. She’s family. I signed her to my Boy Alone thing. She’s the first artist I’ve ever signed. I just see a lot in her,” he said.
Elmah is also set to be the only featured artist on Omah Lay’s upcoming album, Clarity of Mind, highlighting the trust and creative synergy between the two acts. This move marks a significant step in Omah Lay’s transition from performer to mentor, with fans eagerly anticipating their collaboration.

In the same interview, the Port Harcourt-born star reiterated his confidence in his own artistry, stating, “I don’t want to brag too much, but I am the best at this… When it comes to art, like making music, I am the best of the last 20 years. Maybe the only person I sometimes put myself with is Burna Boy,” citing Burna Boy as his only contemporary worthy of comparison.
