Nigerian Afrofusion star Omah Lay has officially revealed the release date for his long-awaited sophomore album, Clarity of Mind, putting an end to months of speculation among fans.

The Port Harcourt-born singer confirmed in an announcement that the project will be released worldwide on April 3, 2026, marking a new chapter in his musical journey and setting the stage for what many expect to be one of the year’s biggest African music releases.
The upcoming album arrives as the follow-up to his widely acclaimed 2022 debut, Boy Alone, a project that cemented Omah Lay’s reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Afrofusion. With the new record, listeners are eager to see how his signature “purple” sound has developed since that breakthrough moment.
According to details surrounding the project, Clarity of Mind will feature 12 tracks, making it a focused and carefully curated body of work. Three previously released singles will appear on the album, helping to connect Omah Lay’s recent musical output with this new era.

The songs include the spiritually tinged record Holy Ghost, the hypnotic 2025 hit Waist, and his latest emotional offering Don’t Love Me, all of which have already generated significant buzz among listeners.
Beyond those singles, the album will introduce nine brand-new tracks, expected to further explore Omah Lay’s signature blend of soul, R&B, and West African sonic influences.
While Boy Alone explored themes of loneliness, vulnerability, and internal battles, the title Clarity of Mind hints at a different phase for the singer, one that reflects reflection, growth, and emotional balance. Observers within the industry believe the project could showcase a more centred and self-aware side of the artist.
With its early-April release, the album is also strategically positioned to shape the sound of the 2026 summer music season, as fans and critics alike anticipate another defining moment in Omah Lay’s evolving career.
