Olamide announces self-titled 12th studio album, set for June 2025 release, Drops Lead Single “Kai” Featuring Wizkid

Nigerian rap icon and Afrobeats powerhouse Olamide has officially announced that his much-anticipated 12th studio album—a self-titled project—will be released on June 3rd, 2025.
The news was accompanied by the surprise release of the album’s lead single, “Kai,” featuring Wizkid, which premiered on Tuesday, April 29.
The song is already generating massive buzz online, giving fans a taste of what’s to come and setting a high bar for the full project.
The album will include 17 tracks, making it Olamide’s longest project since 2017’s Lagos Nawa. Beyond that, it also marks his 15th career project overall, a testament to his unmatched consistency and evolution in the Nigerian music scene.
Though the full tracklist and guest lineup remain under wraps, the fact that the album is self-titled hints at a deeply personal, introspective body of work, potentially offering insights into Olamide’s mindset at this mature point in his storied career.
A master of blending street sensibility with mainstream appeal, Olamide continues to push boundaries without losing touch with his roots.
Fans are already counting down the days to June 3, when the YBNL boss returns with what may be his most defining statement yet.
