Nigerian hip-hop heavyweight Olamide has released a brand-new single titled “99,” featuring an all-star lineup of Asake, Seyi Vibez, Young Jonn, and Latino sensation Daecolm.

The track sees the artists tap into the trendy 3-step Afro House sound, currently dominating the South African music scene.
“99” marks a landmark collaboration in the Nigerian music industry, notably as the first time Asake and Seyi Vibez appear on a song together. Both artists have been standout acts since their respective breakthroughs in 2022, and their link-up on “99” signals a major moment for street-pop and Afrobeats fans alike.
The single follows Olamide’s recent collaboration with Wizkid, titled “Kai,” which was released on April 29, 2025. “Kai” carries the nostalgic Konto bounce as Olamide and Wizkid trade suave verses, flexing wealth in a playful ode to a love interest. The track adds another chapter to a decade-long musical partnership between the two icons.
“99” serves as the lead single from Olamide’s highly anticipated self-titled album, a 17-track project scheduled for release in June 2025. The album follows his 2024 project, Ikigai, which featured standout tracks like “Metaverse,” “Habibi,” and the Asake and Fireboy-assisted “Uptown Disco.”

Known not just as a hitmaker but also as a kingmaker, Olamide’s YBNL imprint has birthed some of Nigeria’s biggest talents, including Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, and Asake.
As excitement builds for the full album release, “99” stands as another testament to Olamide’s legacy, his ability to bridge generational sounds, and his unmatched instincts for spotting and curating star power.
