Nigerian hip-hop icon Olamide has shown interest in collaborating on a project with music star CKay. Olamide responded positively, saying, “whenever you’re ready broksi,” indicating his willingness to partner up with CKay.

CKay featured Olamide on “Wahala,” which followed his 2-pack release “Is It You?” and “Mysterious Love.” Released on April 19, 2024, “Wahala” showcases CKay’s unique blend of emo-pop and Afrobeats, and has already surpassed 4 million streams on Spotify.
This collaboration is not their first; Olamide had previously featured CKay on “Trumpet,” a track from his 10th album “Unruly,” released in 2023. The potential for a joint project between CKay and Olamide is exciting news for fans, especially as Olamide had hinted that “Unruly” might be his last album. A new collaborative project would be a welcome development, demonstrating the strong working relationship between the two artists and promising more captivating music for their audience.
During an appearance on the ‘Afrobeats Podcast,’ Cabasa revealed that he was deeply emotional when Olamide decided to part ways with the label. He recounted shedding tears as he attempted to convince Olamide to reconsider his decision.
Despite his efforts to persuade Olamide to stay, Cabasa ultimately respected the artist’s determination to pursue his own path. He expressed that while it was difficult to see Olamide leave, he ultimately gave him his blessings as he embarked on his solo journey.
