    • “Na You Go Hold Am” – Olamide responds after food critic corrects his champagne etiquette

Olamide Responds with Humor to Viral Etiquette Critique

Veteran Nigerian rapper Olamide Gbenga Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, recently found himself at the center of lighthearted social media buzz following a viral etiquette observation by food critic and lifestyle commentator Opeyemi Famakin.

The conversation began after a video surfaced online showing the Hello Habibi crooner enjoying a quiet moment at home while pouring himself a glass of champagne. What caught attention wasn’t the drink, but how Olamide held the glass firmly by the bowl, rather than the stem, which etiquette experts typically recommend.

Opeyemi Famakin, known for blending food reviews with humorous commentary on proper dining conduct, playfully called out the rapper in a video.

Rather than going the harsh route, Famakin gently teased Olamide, urging him to hold his champagne glass by the stem next time — and even threw in a disclaimer: “I no wan wahala,” clearly aware of Olamide’s devoted fan base, who are known to defend him passionately.

Olamide, never one for online drama, replied in his usual witty fashion. He brushed off the correction with a tongue-in-cheek clapback:
“Help me dey hold am as you want. Some of us no hear shishii. Thank you, God bless your hustle.”

The playful exchange has since garnered wide reactions on social media, with fans praising both personalities for maintaining a respectful, humorous, and drama-free vibe.

Many hailed it as a refreshing reminder that even public figures can laugh at themselves — and at each other — without losing grace.
