Olamide Receives Huge Billboard Recognition With YBNL In 2023.
Nigerian renowned rapper Olamide has received enormous praise from Billboard for his performance as the head of the YBNL record company.
Influential rapper Olamide has been honoured by the well-known entertainment publication Billboard for his efforts and work as the CEO of one of the biggest music labels in Nigeria, YBNL.
After finding and giving a platform to some of the best musicians in Nigeria, like Fireboy DML, Asake, Adekunle Gold, and others, the phenomenal and multiple award-winning rapper was named in the 2023 International Power Players List by Billboard.

The rapper who recently released a new song titled ‘Trumpet‘ with CKay has fans excited about what is to come in the year 2023 from him and from artists under his label, with Asake already releasing two songs titled ‘Yoga‘ and ‘2:30.’
Recall, Olamide has revealed why he decided to sign artists like Fireboy DML and Asake to his label.
In a recent podcast interview, the rapper discusses the reasons behind his choice to add musicians to his label.
Olamide explained in a podcast with a UK music writer that he chose to sign new musicians after receiving too much money and not knowing what to do with it.
He goes on to say that his own small contribution to society is assisting aspiring artists in realizing their goals.
‘I just started stacking up money and the money was becoming too much for me. I was like, “yo, I don’t have anything to do with this money. I need to sign new guys. Let me spend money on people”’, he said.
