Al-Hilal get their man! Theo Hernandez completes switch from AC Milan to Saudi Pro League in €25m deal.

Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal have officially completed the signing of French international Theo Hernandez from AC Milan, adding another European superstar to their star-studded roster.
The 27-year-old left-back has signed a three-year contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027–28 season. The transfer fee is reported to be £22.8 million (€30.3m/\$30.3m).
Hernandez, a product of the Atletico Madrid youth academy, made a high-profile switch to Real Madrid in 2017 before making his career-defining move to AC Milan in 2019.
At San Siro, he flourished into one of the most dynamic full-backs in Europe.

Over five stellar seasons with the Rossoneri, Hernandez made 262 appearances, scoring 34 goals and providing 45 assists—an exceptional return for a defender.
He was instrumental in AC Milan’s 2021–22 Serie A title triumph and their Italian Super Cup win in January 2025.
According to multiple sources, the Frenchman will earn a staggering €20 million (£17m/\$23m) annually in Saudi Arabia.
His move bolsters an already talent-packed Al-Hilal squad that includes Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, and Aleksandar Mitrovic all players with top-flight European experience.
Hernandez’s arrival significantly strengthens Al-Hilal’s defensive line, bringing pace, creativity, and attacking depth from the left flank.
The Frenchman will work under Simone Inzaghi, who took over as head coach earlier this summer after departing Inter Milan.

Hernandez is expected to make his debut in the Saudi Super Cup semifinal against Al-Qadsiyah on August 20.
With this marquee addition, Al-Hilal continue to assert their dominance in the Saudi transfer market, solidifying their ambitions both domestically and on the Asian football stage.
