Official release date for Wizkid’s new album ‘Morayo’ announced
Wizkid, the Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, is gearing up to release his highly anticipated sixth studio album, *Morayo*, on November 22, 2024.
After dropping the lead single ‘Piece of My Heart,’ featuring American R&B singer Brent Faiyaz, fans are eagerly awaiting this personal project.
The album is expected to be deeply emotional, and dedicated to his late mother, whom he lost in 2023.
Wizkid’s last album, ‘More Love, Less Ego (2022)’, didn’t reach the commercial heights of his previous projects, but the upcoming ‘Morayo‘ is shaping up to be a major comeback for the Starboy Entertainment leader.
Earlier in 2024, Wizkid had already made his mark with a feature on Bob Marley’s ‘One Love‘ album and his hit remix of DJ Tunez’s ‘Apala Disco,’ further raising anticipation for his next body of work.
The release of ‘Piece of My Heart‘ has given fans a taste of what’s to come—an R&B-infused track showcasing Wizkid’s smooth vocals and Brent Faiyaz’s soulful sound, hinting at the emotional depth and musical diversity that ‘Morayo‘ will likely offer.
As confirmed by Billboard, the album is officially set for release on November 22, 2024, with fans eagerly counting down to what promises to be one of the year’s most significant releases.
