JUST IN: David Datro Fofana completes move to Chelsea.
Chelsea FC has announced the signing of David Datro Fofana from Norwegian champions Molde as a new center forward. The club has finalized a permanent transfer from Molde, with the player signing a contract until 2029 with an option to extend for another year.
The Ivorian, who turned 20 last month, had a breakout season in Norway in 2022, establishing himself as a prolific goal scorer and one of the brightest young prospects in European football.
Despite his age, Fofana has made an amazing 65 appearances for Molde, contributing to 34 goals, with 24 goals and 10 assists across all competitions since joining the team from the Amadou Diallo Football Academy in his homeland at the beginning of the 2021 Norwegian season.

He recently made his first full senior international appearance for the Ivory Coast, three years after making his debut with a national team comprised mostly of domestic players.
The Ivorian’s speed, skill, and strength combine to make him a dynamic striker capable of scoring goals but especially effective at holding up the ball and preserving control under pressure.
On completing the move to Stamford Bridge, Fofana said: ‘Hello dear fans, I’m here, I’ve arrived well and I’m very happy to sign for the club of my dreams. I’ll see you soon on the pitch, cheers!’
