OdumoduBlvck’s ‘Declan Rice’ jumps 200% in streams after Arsenal V Real Madrid match

Nigerian hip-hop sensation OdumoduBlvck took to social media to share that his hit single Declan Rice saw a staggering 200% increase in streams following the Arsenal vs. Real Madrid match.
The song, named after the star midfielder for Arsenal and England, experienced a surge after Declan Rice’s standout performance in the game, where he scored two brilliant free kicks to help secure a 3-0 victory for the Gunners. The match saw Arsenal take a commanding 2-goal lead, with Rice’s efforts complemented by a third from Merino.
Rice’s stellar display earned him the Man of the Match award, and in a remarkable twist, it also led to a boost in the streaming numbers for Declan Rice, which had already made waves since its release in March 2023 as part of OdumoduBlvck’s Eziokwu project.
The song was a breakthrough for the rapper, earning commercial success and securing a Rap Song of the Year win at the 16th Headies Awards.
Declan Rice also marked a defining moment for OdumoduBlvck, as it was used to introduce him after he signed with Arsenal for a club-record £100 million transfer from West Ham.
In other exciting news, OdumoduBlvck was recently named Artist of the Year by Leadership Newspaper for 2024. This achievement comes shortly after the release of his surprise 16-track project, The Machine Is Coming, which serves as a precursor to his much-anticipated album Industry Machine.
With 8 nominations for the upcoming 17th Headies Awards, including Next Rated, Rap Album of the Year, and Rap Song of the Year, OdumoduBlvck is poised to further solidify his place in the music industry.
