Odumodublvck Fires Back at Critics: “They Said I Can’t Rap — But Who’s Really Rapping Now?”

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has fired back at critics questioning his lyrical prowess, boldly reaffirming his dominance in the country’s hip-hop landscape.
In a recent interview, the rapper born Tochukwu Ojogwu spoke passionately about his journey, his achievements, and the lasting mark of his work, particularly his acclaimed 2023 mixtape, Eziokwu.
Odumodublvck described Eziokwu as a “landmark project” that reshaped Nigerian hip-hop, citing hit singles such as Woto Woto Seasoning, Blood on the Dance Floor, and Dog Eat Dog as proof of its influence.
“There is no hip-hop album in the history of Nigerian music that has as many hit records as Eziokwu,”
he declared confidently, crediting the project as the foundation for his latest body of work, Industry Machine, released on October 6, 2025.
The new 23-track album features an impressive roster of collaborators, including Davido, Wizkid, Stormzy, Pa Salieu, Falz, Boj, Victony, Vector, and Ajebo Hustlers. Tracks like Juju and Pity This Boy have already hit number one, underscoring his continued chart dominance.
Addressing ongoing debates about his lyricism, Odumodublvck dismissed detractors who claim he lacks depth, insisting that his artistry speaks for itself. He maintained that both Eziokwu and Industry Machine reflect his consistency, creativity, and drive to expand the sound and spirit of Nigerian hip-hop.
“Every lie they said about me, we buried it,” he said. “They said Odumodu cannot rap but who’s really rapping now?”
With his fiery confidence, chart-topping records, and unfiltered authenticity, Odumodublvck continues to cement his place as one of Nigeria’s most defiant and influential rap voices.
