Tems, Ayra Starr wear oversized clothes to studio to avoid sexual advances – Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has made a thought-provoking revelation regarding the wardrobe choices of two top Nigerian singers, Tems and Ayra Starr, particularly when they visit the studio.
In a recent interview, Odumodublvck shared that both Tems and Ayra Starr tend to wear oversized clothing during their studio sessions, a style choice he claims is linked to the pressures they face in the music industry. According to the rapper, the reason behind their fashion is the unwanted attention they attract.
“Tems has to wear big clothes to studios because everybody wants to fvck her,” Odumodublvck explained. He went on to state that even Grammy-winning artist Wizkid is among those who desire a relationship with Tems. However, he did not offer similar insights into Ayra Starr’s experiences.
The rapper further emphasized the challenges Tems faces, saying that although she goes to the studio to work on making a hit, she also has to constantly navigate the complex situation of keeping producers’ emotions at bay. “She would want to make a hit and still has to think about how to make the producer not like her,” he added.
As the conversation veered towards the issue of sexual harassment, Odumodublvck offered some words of advice to both singers, urging them to remain steadfast in their faith: “These babes will need to hold on to God.”
This revelation comes at a time when sexual harassment in the Nigerian music industry has been a topic of ongoing discussion.
In 2024, singer Yemi Alade spoke out, claiming that her refusal to give in to sexual advances has led to a lack of recognition in terms of awards.
She alleged that the industry’s male-dominated power structures often penalize women who stand their ground.
Cynthia Morgan also added her voice to the issue, revealing how she managed to survive such harassment. She credited her tomboyish attitude and the tough persona she projected, which she said kept people from taking advantage of her.
This conversation sheds light on the darker side of the entertainment industry, where successful female artists often find themselves contending with unwanted attention, all while striving to maintain their careers.
