Odumodublvck Expresses Gratitude to Wizkid and Davido for Boosting His Career
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has opened up about the significant impact of Wizkid and Davido on his music journey, dismissing attempts to pit him against either of the two music heavyweights.
The rapper, known for his unique style and hit song ‘Declan Rice,’ revealed how a simple gesture by Wizkid marked a turning point in his career. Sharing his experience, Odumodublvck recounted that while he was battling for his life in a hospital bed in Abuja, Wizkid posted about his track, sparking newfound momentum in his career.
Reflecting on the moment, he said:
“ABEG. MAKE UNA LEAVE ME. I WAS ON MY SICK BED IN ABUJA. I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE. ONLY TO WAKE UP AND SEE THAT WIZKID POSTED DECLAN RICE. IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING NEW FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. I CANNOT PUT INTO WORDS HOW I FELT.”
Despite facing criticism for not being featured in Wizkid’s album ‘Morayo,’ Odumodublvck emphasized his unwavering respect and gratitude for Wizkid.
He stated firmly that he would never “bite the hand that feeds” him, highlighting the lasting influence Wizkid’s support had on his career.
The rapper also addressed rumors of tension between him and Davido. Odumodublvck expressed admiration for Davido, acknowledging the singer’s numerous contributions to his personal and professional life. He elaborated:
“MOVING ON TO THOSE THAT ARE TRYING TO PUT ME AGAINST DAVID… I HAVE LOST COUNT OF HOW MANY FAVOURS AND HOW MANY THINGS HE HAS DONE FOR NOT JUST ME BUT FOR MY ENTIRE FAMILY AND MY GANG. AND HE IS STILL DOING MORE THAN I CAN EVEN USE MY MOUTH TO EXPLAIN. YOU PEOPLE WILL NOT SUCCEED.”
Odumodublvck’s remarks reflect his appreciation for both artists, reaffirming his loyalty and gratitude for their roles in shaping his music career.
