My goal is to break generational poverty – Rapper Odumodublvck
Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck recently shared his mission to “break the generational curse of poverty.” He made this revelation through his official Twitter account in response to comments from fellow rapper CDQ, who expressed that he appreciates Odumodublvck’s sound but not necessarily his lyrics.
CDQ had mentioned, “I fxck wit ur sound doesn’t mean fxck with ur lyrics bra. I was only trying to encourage so @odumodublvck no gas ursef up o, u dey bring my dm com out to do news lol… Everyone out here know say CDQ is dat guy dat don’t give a fxck abt no fxckin body be u or anything, I’m very expensive n I’ll say it as it is. Mugabe.”
In response, Odumodublvck expressed that he wouldn’t have an issue if it were an influencer criticizing his music, but he felt disappointed that a respected figure in the industry, an “OG” (Original Gangster), was making such remarks. He compared CDQ’s comments to a shop owner criticizing his neighbor’s goods.
Odumodublvck also mentioned other budding young artists like Blaqbonez and Omah Lay, who were referenced by CDQ.
Despite any potential offenses, Odumodublvck conveyed his willingness to forgive them. This exchange sheds light on the dynamics of the Nigerian music industry, showcasing the diversity of opinions and the challenges artists face in navigating public feedback and criticism.
He tweeted, “On Some Real Shit. Its One Thing If A Fan Or An Influencer Comes Out To Shit On An Artist Music. Its Allowed.
As An Artist, Wey Con Be Og Ontop, I Expect Say My Egbon Go Know Say This P Dey More Than Music. We Wanna Break Generational Curse Of Poverty.
