Fireboy didn’t charge me for feature when I was an upcoming artiste – Odumodublvck
Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, widely known as Odumodublvck, shared that Fireboy DML didn’t charge him to feature on his song, ‘Firegun.’ According to Odumodublvck, at the time of the collaboration, Fireboy was still an up-and-coming artist, and there was no fee demanded by the YBNL act.
Odumodublvck made this revelation on his Twitter page while responding to a video in which Fireboy mentioned that he had been listening to Odumodublvck’s songs since 2020.
This insight into the collaboration process reflects the supportive nature of the music industry, especially among emerging artists who collaborate to showcase their talents and create meaningful connections.
Odumodu wrote, “Fire Call Me Say E Dey Come My House. We Recorded Like 3 Jams. E No Collect Shishi For My Hand.
Bear In Mind Say That Time I Be Nobody. I Can Never Forget The Love Wey E Show Me. Never.”

Recall, Fireboy revealed during an interview with OAP Dotun on Cool FM that he has been listening to Odumodublvck’s music since 2020.
Fireboy explained that the connection with an artist is a significant factor in determining collaborations for him. He emphasized that if he feels a connection with someone, he might collaborate, or he might also choose to work with an artist if a particular song connects well with them.
In the interview, Fireboy DML mentioned that the synergy between him and Odumodublvck existed from the beginning, even before many people knew about the rapper’s music. Fireboy also discussed his collaboration with Blaqbonez, highlighting their friendship that goes back to their university days. He felt that Blaqbonez would perform well on a track, and the collaboration turned out successfully.
