“He had a great tournament” – Odumodublvck defends Iwobi as fans attack him over AFCON final
Popular rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck, has stepped up in defense of Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi following Nigeria’s loss in the 2023 AFCON final.
The 27-year-old footballer faced heavy criticism after Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in the final match at the Alassane Ouattara stadium.
Despite the backlash, Odumodublvck took to his Twitter page to commend Iwobi’s performance, acknowledging his contribution throughout the tournament. He praised Iwobi’s efforts and highlighted his significant role in the team.
Furthermore, Odumodublvck applauded the Super Eagles for reaching a stage that many had not anticipated, showcasing optimism for the team’s future and expressing confidence that they will bounce back stronger.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Alex Iwobi has removed all pictures and videos from his official Instagram page, leaving only one post.
A check on the Fulham star’s account as of Monday morning, February 12, revealed that only one video remains on the account, which boasts over 1.3 million followers.
The remaining clip shows Iwobi opening what appears to be a journal and was posted 10 weeks ago. However, the comment section for this post is currently disabled.
During the final match, the Fulham midfielder played for 79 minutes before being replaced by Alhassan Yusuf for the last 10 minutes of the game.
