Odumodublvck reveals what really happened at Poco Lee’s LASU concert
Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has addressed the misunderstanding surrounding his actions at Poco Lee’s homecoming concert on July 14, 2023.
During an appearance on the Big Friday Show on Cool FM, Odumodublvck clarified that he was not running from cultists or any danger, as suggested by a viral video.
The video depicted Odumodublvck running away from the crowd, leading to speculations that he was being chased by suspected cultists at the school grounds where the concert took place.
Odumodublvck explained that he was actually trying to distance himself from fans who wanted to take pictures with him. He emphasized that his actions were solely to manage the large crowd and ensure his own safety.
In his words; “I wasn’t running, I was Jogging. I was tryna escape because when you take pictures with one person, you have to take with everyone.”
This clarification provides a different perspective on the incident, dispelling the initial assumptions of him fleeing from potential harm.
Odumodublvck expressed his surprise at discovering that he was trending on that day. He mentioned that the stories circulating online were so convincing that he almost believed them himself. The rapper was taken aback by how quickly misinformation can spread and how it can shape public perception, even if it is far from the truth.
He said, “I almost believed what they were saying but I was there, we didn’t fight anybody. The place was just so rowdy but it’s a school, so I didn’t expect anything less. When you’re done performing you have to get out of there immediately.”
The entertainer emphasized that he had no issues with the narrative that was pushed onto the internet regarding the video of him running. He acknowledged the nature of the entertainment industry and the importance of selling a story to engage the audience. Odumodublvck showed understanding of how media narratives can be shaped and was not bothered by the rumors or misinterpretations surrounding the incident. He appeared to take it all in stride as part of being in the public eye.
