    Nigerian rap star Odumodublvck has scored yet another milestone in his fast-rising career, taking home the 2024 Artist of the Year award from Leadership Newspaper.

    This latest honor crowns a phenomenal year for the boundary-pushing rapper, whose blend of gritty lyricism and Afro-infused hip-hop has solidified his status as a heavyweight on the African rap scene.

    He showed up to the award ceremony flanked by his mother and members of his creative collective, Anti-World Gangster — the same crew he teamed up with for a collaborative album earlier in 2024.

    The award coincided with the release of his latest surprise drop, The Machine Is Coming, a hard-hitting 16-track mixtape featuring standout collaborations with Victony, Shallipopi, BOJ, Rondodasosa, and more.

    One of the tape’s standout tracks, Pity This Boy with Victony, has already crossed 17 million streams on Spotify and is setting the stage for his highly anticipated album Industry Machine.

    Odumodublvck first broke into the mainstream with 2023’s Eziokwu, a game-changing project that delivered viral hits like Declan Rice, Blood On The Dance Floor, Wotowoto Seasoning, and Dog Eat Dog II.

    With co-signs from global rap legends such as Rick Ross, Skepta, and Stormzy, Odumodublvck is showing no signs of slowing down. He’s currently up for eight nominations at the 17th Headies Awards, including nods for Next Rated, Rap Album of the Year, and Rap Song of the Year.
