However, there were amazing moments that stood out and will be remembered for the time to come.
Davido made history as one out of two African acts to sell out London’s 02 arenas.
The show was packed with performances from Davido as well as guest performances from friends and other artists.
There were so many unforgettable moments. And so… We made a List:
IsraelDMW opened the show
At this point in time, we are sure everybody knows that Juju opened the show. In a dramatic fashion, Israel opened the show along with several statements in which he hailed his Oga.
Israel had taken to the stage Bini attire with a bell in hand which he rang as he made welcomed the guests in his native language and gave glowing marks about Davido to the 20,000 people present at the venue.
If you forget anything from this concert, remember that Juju hailed his Oga in the Presence of 20,000 people and his Oga loved it. Davido even made a tweet:
Almost Killing them Sha!
So when Zlatan was performing in all the Glory of his vibe, something happened. Everybody noticed because Ecool didn’t really keep it cool.
Zlatan was performing and his famous Burna Boy collaboration, ‘Killin Dem’ came on. As Zlatan was about to settle into the track, DJ Ecool Switched the song.
Social Media Users have attributed the past rift between Davido and Burna Boy for the switch.
Pheelz’ Finesse
So, something else that was shocking happened. Apparently, Pheelz came out to perform his 2-day old track that featured BNXN and the crowd knew it.
The moment the hook, to finesse came on, the crowd knew it word for word.
I’m glad a crowd of concertgoers (20000 people) agreed that if they end up broke, it shouldn’t be our business.
But, Afrobeats has really gone on to the world as the time of release doesn’t even affect the popularity of Music anymore.
Africa’s Boyfriend came through:
CKay who is also known as Africa’s Boyfriend is slowly making the O2 Arena his home. Considering that the artiste performed his hit track “Love Nwantiti” during Wizkid’s O2 Arena tour as well as Last Night when Davido had him on stage.
The crowd’s reaction confirm the numbers that Love Nwantiti has earned. E no easy like that oh.
Davido’s Entrance
As Nigerian Musicians Ignore their bland sets to create immersive entrances, Davido did not make an exception. There’s nothing great happening with the general set but you see that entrance. It was somewhat outstanding!
We have seen a Giant emerge from a spaceship, we have also seen Big Wiz Appear with Candles. And Now, we have seen Davido Descend in a cube while singing the music. Las Las, at this point, thanks to Davido we have seen it all!
